Do you have an active Florida bar license?

Picture
The League of Women Voters is seeking help from individuals with an active Florida bar license who would like to assist the 934,000 Florida citizens who cannot vote because they have a felony conviction and may have unpaid fees and fines.

Aiding a returning citizen with their voting status is a rewarding experience and satisfies an attorney's annual pro bono service requirement.  The majority of these assignments do not require a court appearance.

Often, after researching the records, volunteers find the returning citizen can vote or can do so after paying what remains of their fines.

The first step?  Take our free, online continuing legal education class and learn about the law in Florida and LWVFL's program.  Once you register for class, you will receive our monthly attorney updates and can let us know your availability for an assignment.
