Special Election
​Congressional District 6

Florida's 6th Congressional District special election will be held on April 1, 2025, to choose a new member of the U.S. House of Representatives.  The seat became vacant when Republican incumbent Michael Waltz was nominated by president-elect Donald Trump as National Security Advisor. 

Early Voting is Saturday, March 22 through Saturday, March 29
10 AM to 6 PM

General Election Day is Tuesday, April 1.
​7 AM to 7 PM

The 6th Congressional District covers southeastern Marion County and northern Lake County.  If you do not know your congressional district it can be found on your voter ID card or by calling your county's Supervisor of Elections.

The candidate forums for Congressional District 6 in the U.S. House of Representative, hosted by the League of Women Voters of Florida on  March 19 2025,  can be viewed by clicking the image below. 

Candidates Josh Weil (DEM) and Andrew Parrott (LPF) participated in the forum. 
CandidatesRandy Fine (REP) declined due to his participation in the Legislative Session in Tallahassee. 
Candidate Randall Terry (NPA) did not respond to the invitation to participate.
