2025 SPECIAL ELECTION

​Congressional District 6 Primary

Florida's 6th Congressional District special election will be held on April 1, 2025, to choose a new member of the U.S. House of Representatives.  The seat became vacant when Republican incumbent Michael Waltz was nominated by president-elect Donald Trump as National Security Advisor. 

Early Voting is Saturday, January 18 through Saturday, January 25.

Primary Election Day is Tuesday, January 28.


The 6th Congressional District covers southeastern Marion County and northern Lake County.  If you do not know your congressional district it can be found on your voter ID card or by calling your county's Supervisor of Elections.
